Sedona typically has excellent hiking weather year-round. If conditions become unsafe due to heavy rain, lightning, or extreme heat, we will adjust the itinerary or reschedule. Light rain does not usually cancel tours.

Sedona is extremely popular, especially in spring and fall. We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, and longer for holiday weekends or peak seasons.
Most Sedona trailheads have restrooms, but once on the trail, facilities are rare. We’ll plan accordingly based on your comfort and the length of your hike.
Sedona is home to mule deer, javelina, coyotes, hawks, lizards, and occasionally bald eagles. While encounters are usually from a safe distance, your guide will ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
No prior experience is required for the 3-hour hike. The 5-hour hike is better suited for guests who are reasonably active, but we customize every route to match your comfort level.
Morning hikes offer cooler temperatures and the best lighting for photography. Afternoon hikes can be beautiful as well, especially in the fall and winter.
